I bought these faces for the theater stage make-up class so students can practice if they are allergic to cosmetics. I've also used them to take plaster casts to make masks from. They worked very well and the masks fit. I've followed the recommended practice of applying a few coats of hairspray first as a release agent and haven't had any issues, but admittedly I haven't tried dark makeup colors.
