Review on Nintendo Switch 32GB Neon Blue/Neon Red by Stanislaw Mielicki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

As the only gaming platform for the "gamer", probably not the best candidate yet. But for people who already own a mainstream gaming platform like a good PC or other modern console, the Switch is the perfect choice. As the only gaming platform for an adult who doesn't have time for mainstream platforms, Switch is the perfect choice too.

Pros
  • - The most interesting console on the market at the moment. - Games from Nintendo itself - Breath of The Wild, Odyssey, Mario Kart, Splatoon, etc. - this is only in the first few months of the console's existence. Judging by the pace of sales - the future is more than good. - Games from third-party developers - for example, full-fledged Skyrim and Doom with a Dark Souls remaster in your pocket. Damn, cross-platform minecraft and rocket league - you play at the university on breaks, kaef. Well, there is a high probability of the release of Read Dead Redemtion with GTA V and HD remasters of MGS 2 and 3. Well, how not to buy? - Hybridity - have a few free minutes at home? You can play. Are you waiting in line? You can play. Sitting in a public transport, what the hell is the time? You can play. With all this, these same games can be transferred to a TV set with a slight movement and played like a normal person. - The ability to easily buy games in other regions where prices are tastier. - Human USB Type-C with the possibility of recharging from power banks. - Local multiplayer - up to 8 consoles are going to LAN. Lamp. - Praised HD vibration. Not that it’s something unrealistic, but where developers really use the capabilities of joycons (Odyssey), immersion increases by 256%. - An obvious and advertised feature - joycons can be used as small standalone gamepads without arrows and a second stick, which means that many games can be played on the same console by two people right out of the box. More comfortable than it looks. - A non-obvious and unadvertised feature - joycons can be played as one gamepad, divided into two halves. It is incredibly convenient when lying in a chair or on a sofa. - Speakers are good. The screen, despite not the highest pixel density, also looks nice.
Cons
  • - The case at the back is very easy to scratch and blur, although the material is matte. - The latches with straps for the joycons that come with the kit are made so poorly that you don’t want to use them after the first time, but the set-up is waiting here too - it’s hard to take them off, even if you put them on correctly. If you put them on the other way around, they will stay on the joycons forever. - The stand is bad - it jumps out of the mount very easily (I understand that this is a feature, but still), in desktop mode the console is not very stable, the angle is too small and is not adjustable. Well, this is not to mention the fact that it is impossible to charge the console to the desktop mode - the port is from below. - Prices for some games are clearly too high. Breath of the Wild costs absolutely horse (4500) money with us, while other games of the same price category ($60) are sold for 3600, which at least looks like 60 bucks. To be fair, digital-only multi-platform releases sometimes cost a lot on Steam. - There is a browser and it works incredibly fast, but you can’t use it yet (?). There are no other applications yet. - The e-shop is not very convenient. - 32 GB of memory on board. Despite the fact that even games on cartridges may not be played without downloading several gigabytes of the game. - Lack of backward compatibility. And the cartridges are bitter.
