I've been using the same old terry towels for 40 years because I couldn't find new ones that are as absorbent as the old ones. I've tried different ones every year for the last 20 years, asked friends - everything is fluffy soft, doesn't absorb and then takes up so much space in the washing machine and dryer. I'm stuck on some of these that I use for guests as my originals (no longer in production) can't be replaced. I read reviews about them, they were cheap enough to try and everyone said they were absorbent and flimsy! You were right! I bought 3 with the intention that I could always return them. Now I want more. The only downside: they say not to use bleach. (I love white towels!) So only time will tell! I doubt you can go wrong with that.
