At first I wasn't sure about the multitude
At first I wasn't sure if I needed all 3, but after using them several times I'm glad I have them. Depending on what you are cooking/applying to, sometimes the bristles of the brush are too long, but with 3 I can cut the other 2 short to medium so depending on what I need them for I have them right length. for what I cook.
