Review on Fel Pro 72401 O Ring by Brian Evans

As you can see in the video I had a very very loud knock almost a knock. I researched options from a bad exhaust leak to a rod knock. But something very remarkable happened, the noise came and went. Since I already had lower oil pressure, I decided to pull the trigger anyway and replace the O-ring. After replacing it works great! 30psi after warm idle, no chatter, very quiet engine with 340,000 miles. The old ring was crushed and rotted. It broke as soon as I pulled it out of the suction tube and didn't make a single bend without breaking into pieces like a cracker. IMPORTANT This o-ring is black, not red. From what I've gleaned from other reviews it's just a different color and it really is. It's exactly the same size and thickness as it should be. Don't worry about the color. Also, we're talking about a 2004 Chevy Silverado truck with 5.3 Vortec and 4x4. Lowering the front axle a bit was another step, but not difficult at all. Did you receive it!
