I tried to brew coffee at different temperatures with several thermometers. This thermometer is by far the simplest, most basic, and no-frills product. It takes about 2-3 seconds to set the temperature; it's not instant, but pretty quick. The keys are of good quality and feel comfortable. It appears to be very well made and built to last. Reading is bright. It has great contrast and is easy to read. The thermometer reads 1/10th of a decimal place, but only until the temperature reaches 200F. After 200 F, the thermometer only reads a whole number. I am very happy with this purchase. Very important. Excellent price. Fits the bill perfectly.
