I use a pre-made lip balm base and perfume it with essential oils. I always put the oils in the tubes first, then filled them with Lip Balm Base and mixed them up with a toothpick. When I did that with them, they went through everywhere. I am very dissatisfied with it, I made 20 lip balms and 8 of them leaked. Too bad because I really wanted to like these pipes. I love the bright colors and how well they fit the tray. I was excited because I could easily buy replacement tubes to use with the same tablet from this brand. The other brands of tubes I have used do not fit in the tray.
