Review on DMC 1767-18 Tapestry Hand Needles, 6-pack, Size 18: Premium Craft Needles for Superior Stitching by Linda Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The bad news: The supplied needles are much smaller.

Wrong needle size! I bought these needles as a supplement so as not to stop at my local craft store (knowing I pay a heavy price for convenience). The item pictured is exactly what I have bought from the store in the past. The product delivered looks the same, the cardboard backing and graphics are the same as in the photo. The bad news: The needles supplied are significantly smaller than sewing needles --> NO tapestry needles. To update. Went shopping to change needles and found both stores have new smaller needles. The new #26 is so small my DMC needle threader doesn't fit through my eye. I bought 24 gauge needles instead and although they are larger needles they are difficult to thread which is confusing as my old 26 gauge needles were easily threaded with double DMC cotton thread using a threading aid. Update: Try buying DMC cross stitch needles instead. Not as "fierce" as old tapestry needles, but a very close approach and the eye will not cut the thread. The needles I just received are in old fashioned packaging with a plastic bridge/needle holder (which might indicate they are old stock?)
