Review on Prevue Chinchilla 495 Earthtone Dusted by Jaclyn King

We've had this cage for 2 months now. I was initially very satisfied. It was a bit difficult to get together but not as bad as others say. Overall we like the size and looks. The bottom is easy to remove and clean and I loved how easy it was to change the linens. However, after 2 months I noticed that it still stinks despite thorough cleaning of the cage. And from the corners, brown and yellow liquid pours onto the floor. I took everything apart tonight and found that urine and feces seep into the holes at the top of the rails that support the bead, settle and ferment and then eventually seep through the bead and down to the wheel. It was awful to see how much came out when I cleaned everything up tonight. I've built in 3 corner "potties" to keep them from peeing on the side rails, but I'm not sure if this will completely solve the problem. Also, I'm worried about it rusting in the track. I don't know what else to try. Otherwise we like the cage very much :(
