On the 2006 Cadillac DTS, the gas tank would not close.
My check engine light came on and I thought (hoped) it might be a problem with the gas cap. I ordered this and installed it, but the driver information center immediately showed a "Check fuel cap" message. The gas cap was tight and half a tank or so was fine. Then the message "Check gas tank cap" came back. I removed this cover and put the old one on. The message didn't come again. For me, this gas cap didn't work at all.
