Review on Chase Harper 3550 Aeropac Saddle by Patrick Clifton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Large capacity and wide adjustability

I bought these to use on a 2013 Yamaha FZ1 when needed. The bike has a sculpted rear and built-in passenger grips, making it a nightmare to install saddlebags, but I didn't want to invest in hard panniers. Since they offered the possibility to increase the capacity anyway, I tried them. There are enough straps to secure bags anywhere. Velcro main straps at top provide more than enough holding power to stay connected even when fully loaded. The reflectivity on the back of the pockets is a nice touch. Not sure how waterproof they are or how long they last, but I did about 270 miles in 24 hours at Laconia Bike Week 2019 and they were quite heavily loaded. All the way, they handled well at speeds of up to 85 mph. I'm more of a Nelson rig type and they're not as polished or fancy, but they offer the most capacity and value in my opinion.
