I run this fan from a 12V DC portable power station with clips connected to a 5.5 x 2.5mm pigtail and it uses an average of 7, 5W (0.625A). if I'm right, divide 7.5 watts by 12 volts). Considering the airflow, price and power consumption, I'm impressed. It is a small fan and also lightweight. If you have sunny and realistic expectations, you will be happy with this fan. I hung it from the ceiling with paracord and it doesn't wobble except for a slight jerk when starting. Also, I bought the one headlined that it didn't have a switch, but mine came with a switch and I'm not complaining. I bought 2 of them, one still works and the other one stopped working (less than a month). but amazon offered a replacement.
