Pretty colors but the pencil is too bulky

These Apple Pencil cases are cute but too bulky to fit a pencil in an iPad case. The photos show that I had to put the pencil in the compartment and I still can't close the iPad lid. I also attached a picture with a pencil without a sleeve. Unfortunately I had to send them back.
