Review on 📷 Sigma 18-300mm F3.5-6.3: The Ultimate Contemporary Advanced Lens by Tiffany Williams

Like many other people I bought this lens so I don't have to carry multiple lenses with me when I travel. I wasn't disappointed - the lens performed very well in every situation, from dimly lit rooms to bright sunlight. The autofocus is fast and accurate. The image stabilization is very effective and the lens is very sharp for a super zoom. I've seen several reviews complaining that this isn't a "true" 300mm telephoto lens. My testing has shown that this is the result of "focus breathing", a common trait of less expensive lenses where the focal length changes slightly as focus is adjusted. With infinite focus, this lens looks like a true 300mm telephoto lens. And the focus is adjusted to shorter distances, the focal length is shortened. When focusing on an object 15 feet away, the focal length is about 250mm. Given the low price and excellent performance of this lens, I don't see this as a major issue.
