First of all, it's amazing to find quality 3 position switches at this price point. It's cheaper than the local hardware store and the build quality is very good. The switches are beautifully packaged and protected from scratches and damage, ensuring you receive the perfect switches. I've installed about 30 of these switches around the house and none of them have had any quality or other issues. I ordered these as I have a lot of 3 position switches and a lot of single pole switches around the house and I didn't want to juggle both types, especially considering their price. movement and click. The flip motion is smooth, however the flip up has an ambiguous state on each switch. You can partially flip it and it stays that way. I'm not sure if this is a safety issue or not (I don't know if the electrical part is partially involved or not, like a toggle switch). Oddly, this behavior doesn't occur when shifting to the down position - depending on the force applied, it either lowers fully or doesn't. The clicking is relatively loud and there is no way to flip the switch without clicking. Other decorator switches I've used can be toggled "palmed" or very softly without making a sound. Not with these. It's not a huge issue, but if you're trying to sneak around small children, that should be taken into account. However, they are by no means loud and I still recommend them. Overall they are near perfect and for the price you can't beat them. Highly recommended!
