Our class centrally purchased the "School Format" portfolio at a price of about 160 rubles per copy. The portfolio is an ordinary folder, open on three sides, made of dense but flexible plastic with a metal fastening with two holes in the middle. There is no free space on it to indicate the owner of the portfolio, but this sheet can be removed and replaced with your own - either printed or hand-drawn, indicating any necessary information. We placed the necessary information on the first page inside the portfolio. There were about 20 files (transparent plastic pockets) in the kit, in which you can put the diplomas, certificates, gratitude received by the child, or self-designed portfolio sheets. We also have a typographical portfolio where all the main results of the child's activity should be entered, so we used the "School Format" folder only for storing diplomas and the like. And then we did not have enough of these 20 files. They could put at least 30-40 pieces, because the thickness of the folder hints at the fact that a larger amount of materials should fit. For a large amount of content, the folder is not suitable. First, the thickness is limited. Only 2.8 cm at the spine. For example, I have drawings and other creative works accumulated over the year in a separate folder 6 centimeters thick. In the "School format" portfolio, I put only three or four works from photography competitions that were held at our school scale is usually not returned). In other words: after the 1st grade, the portfolio reserve is depleted by about 70%. And secondly, the metal folder has only two rings. Whereas pocket folders are designed for more holes. As a result, the attached files, with considerable weight, dangle back and forth, the corners crumple. This looks messy. We must pay tribute to the quality of the latch, it is excellent. It's more of a bad product design issue. A 4-ring binder, as in many office folders made of thick laminated cardboard, would hold our "trophies" tighter. For this, I reduce the score on the "convenience" parameter. One more nuance. Not as a comment, but as a suggestion to improve the product. The content of the portfolio is assumed to be large, therefore, the presence of a rubricator will not interfere. I made it myself (several color inserts with the inscriptions "Olympiad", "creative work", etc.), please do not judge strictly, my artistic abilities are below average. Well, and most importantly. It's a matter of quality. This folder is on an open shelf in our closet, periodically removed to replenish. Worn to school once. This I mean that she did not experience strong mechanical influences. But, unfortunately, the plastic could not withstand such treatment, and began to peel off at the place of gluing. It will not be enough for the entire junior school, you will have to glue the edge with adhesive tape or glue. So for reliability and quality, too, not the highest scores. Thus, the described product has a certain functional value, but not the best quality. For children, stronger materials are needed, especially considering that the portfolio should last for several years.
