I purchased this hand splint after undergoing plate and screw surgery for a broken wrist. After 6 weeks in the cast my wrist became very stiff and very weak. I needed to use my hand for basic everyday and work activities, so I needed some support to do those things. This is a great, well fitting wrist splint that is much more comfortable than other braces I have tried. It has a molded aluminum insert on the volar side of the splint that has been well placed to position and keep the wrist in slight extension. It also has a lot more padding around the arm than any other similarly priced splint, making it very comfortable to wear. For a long time. I also liked the length of the brace as it sits higher on the forearm than most other brands. Very easy to put on and take off. Multiple different ways to adjust the Velcro straps for comfort and support. Overall a very good brace that has served me well after major wrist surgery.
