Poor manufacturing results in unusable product. The method of fitting a D-handle to a door jamb in a shed is to weld a nut to the D-handle through a hole in the jamb. This could be because the nut was centered on the hole, the hole was big enough for a hex bolt, or the hole had the same threads as the nut. Unfortunately, no set of pens has ever been made this way.
