Great grill basket!

I bought the Mr Bar BQ Grill Basket instead of the Weber Style 6434 Grill Basket because it was cheaper and both got good reviews. I wanted something to easily roast diced potatoes, veggies, and diced meat without skewers. I also wanted something that didn't stick and that you could throw in the dishwasher to clean. I've only used it once to fry diced potatoes and it worked great. I let it heat up on the grill and then drizzled it over Pam and I was able to easily toss the potatoes with a spatula and it wasn't sticky at all. The basket gets VERY hot. Too hot to even use oven mitts to pick it up. Once the potatoes were cooked I just left them on the grill and then placed them on a serving tray. Nothing stuck, nothing fell out of the holes and all I had to do was use a little Pam nonstick spray. I can't wait to use it for other veggies and meats. The basket is large, which is what I wanted, so you'll need a regular full-size grill to close the lid. I have a basic four burner gas grill and this basket takes up one half of the grill and then I place the burgers on the other half. I would not recommend this for very small grills due to its size. After frying, the basket will darken and lose its stainless steel shine. But who cares. I want something that fried well. I haven't thrown it in the dishwasher yet, but I don't plan on doing it too often. The basket gets so hot that it kills all germs/bacteria there anyway. I never wash my cooking grates, so why should I wash these?

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • no paint needed
