This is a very well designed ball head. I have Benro B3, B2 and B1 ball heads which are nicely made but definitely expensive. However, they have a dedicated drag handle that is not available on this device. That ball head? While there is no dedicated pull handle, it's only 1/4 the price and represents excellent value. Before you actually use it, and certainly before you write a bad review, at least set it up properly. (Read some reviews where the ball won't engage. Sigh) Place your camera and heaviest lens on the mount and adjust the lever so that it's LOCKED when fully engaged. There is some residual friction when the lever is opened, but the camera can still be moved easily. Adapt to your happy environment step by step (only 3 minutes) and done. I bought this for my GF to replace a crappy ball head on a Bonfoto b690A tripod (the pan function is locked and there is no gradual tension in drag/lock). I was so impressed with the performance and quality of this E2 mini head that I bought another to use on my travel tripod. .
