I've had laser hair removal in the office several times. It worked, but I could never afford to attend as many sessions as I needed. I'm so glad I finally went the DIY route! Mismon really works and that's the only thing that matters in this review. I did 3 treatments on all body parts that needed it. I have light black hair so am a perfect user and used the highest possible settings in each area. The armpits showed a big difference after 3 sessions. There is about 30% less hair on the legs, I think many more treatments will be needed. For other more sensitive parts I use the lowest setting so I expect not much will happen over the course of a few sessions. Pain: The maximum setting is comparable to the office, so not much, except for the upper part of the lower leg, upper lip and the most sensitive area of the bikini line. At level 1, nothing is felt. Ease of use: Driving directions sometimes don't translate perfectly. Read the booklet several times. Make sure all hair is shaved or it will burn and hurt a little more. Conclusion: buy for light skin/dark hair. Definitely worth it. I've already saved $400 by doing this instead of working in an office. Also: it might be easier if you have a friend to help you with hard-to-reach spots, but you can get by with it if you're flexible!
