Review on Safco Products 1929CY Adjustable Workstation by Lisa Reed

This desk is compact, sturdy and looks great for the price. However, I don't think I realized before buying (my own fault I suppose) that the entirely manual nature of this table's height adjustment makes it impossible for one person to do this and even with help is incredibly uncomfortable if you lift regularly and can be used as a sitting and standing desk during the day/during the week. In addition, it is not quite suitable for a small person in a sitting position. I'm 5ft 3" tall and too tall for me on the lowest setting and my desk chair on the highest setting. The keyboard tray is 2 inches higher than it should be for ergonomic comfort, and the desk sits flush with my chest, making it too high for typing and also too high for my monitors. I was able to basically fix the height issue by removing the casters (wheels), but I still can't use it as a true sit stand desk as I can't lift it myself. I could have just bought a nicer normal (sitting) table for less money. Of course, after spending two hours assembling it, I'm not taking it apart at the moment and am trying to put all the pieces back together to return it. He also weighed a ton. Spring. upset.
