The watch looks very nice but has limited smartwatch capabilities. I set the smarts to do three things: 1) Ring my phone if I can't find it. 2) pause/start/skip music, 3) view past text alerts and view date. I think it's a great balance between looks and functionality. I had a $300 Samsung Frontier smartwatch that had a lot more features but needed to be charged every few days (which means you'll need to pack a branded charger if you're traveling for more than two days), was very picky and stopped taking a charge after about a year. I returned this watch when it stopped charging and replaced it with this watch for about half the price. Am I missing some Samsung features? Yes, but regular charging was a real problem, especially when travelling. This Fossil lasts 6 months or more with a replaceable battery. Keeps everything it promises. If you're looking for a cute hybrid watch with limited smart features, I recommend this one.
