I have used this to liquefy canned pet food that needs to be fed through a feeding tube and was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I didn't want to blend pet food with our Vitamix because it's a hassle to use the same blender for both human and pet food. I love this blender so much that I intend to buy another for light and easy smoothies when we're on the go, as not every type of smoothie or other blending task requires the amazing power of a Vitamix blender. I doubt it'll be able to handle silky smooth nut butters or any of the other complex tasks that the Vitamix can handle, but it's a good little device.
