Review on 16oz Black Pro-Style Boxing Gloves (PR) by Scott Vazquez

Bought for basic use in boxing and kickboxing classes. So far, so good. I will update my wear and tear rating over time if any. I'm deducting one star for the chemical smell, which I'm not entirely sure will ever go away. Smells of petrol/rubber. This is my first pair of boxing gloves so not sure if it's ok for leather gloves. Otherwise protects my joints and wrists. I use them with Everlast gel hand wraps. Update 02/13/16: I'm finally rid of these gloves. The smell never went away and it smelled like my bandages and other exercise equipment as well as my gym bag. The smell of my other clothes has never faded even after many washes. The stitching near my right thumb was starting to unravel, but I couldn't fight the chemical smell anymore. Otherwise I found them great for my kickboxing routine. BTW my husband bought a blue pair of these same gloves and they don't smell. Hope that helps!
