This is a great lock for locking/tagging. i had a key Remember that some locksmiths refuse to duplicate the lock key, and with good reason. This is a safety device. The presence of 2 keys allows another person to accidentally remove the lock while it is being serviced downstream. If the device is live, it can kill you. The body of the lock is made of plastic. This interlock is intended to provide reasonable protection against accidental/unauthorized closure of the circuit breaker or disconnector. This lock is NOT burglar proof. This lock can easily be picked with a hammer, but with the intended use of this device this is not an excessive level of security. If you purchase this lock please note that its intended function is to provide reasonable resistance to accidental unauthorized use or operation of the switch or circuit breaker while performing downstream maintenance. It is not intended for long-term use. My buddy uses it in his gym locker because it's lightweight and unique which makes it easy to identify. The key cannot be removed from the lock while it is open, which helps prevent key loss and also ensures the lock is fully locked before leaving.
