I bought this backpack to use in the summer when I was a camp counselor, it did exactly what I needed. Pros: I love the bright color, got a lot of compliments! It was a bit bigger than I thought it would be, but it wasn't a big deal as I could easily carry everything I needed and things I didn't need. in a hoodie and don't worry about it getting so crowded that I have to throw everything out to get things to the bottom of the bag. The waterproofing was also very nice, we had a week of continuous rain and my gear stayed pretty dry, but after a few days it got a bit damp. He behaved well and I didn't treat him very well, he was scattered all over the ground, sitting on the dewy grass, in the scorching heat, it was pouring rain and a lot of sweat; he's a bit dirty. I haven't tried washing it, but I think it cleans fairly easily. Cons: I found the straps to be quite wide at first, but I quickly adjusted. Backpack, the seams have come undone, now I don't know if it's because it stretches or because it's really falling apart; the time will show. I've had a few girls tell me they thought this pattern (lime green) was the Girl Scouts logo, I don't really care but didn't realize it when I bought it.
