The AllenCOCO silver chain is a fine silver chain with a small lobster clasp. The chain is thin enough to easily attach amulets and strong enough to carry small pendants. It ends with a small pull tab and a lobster clasp attached with a soldered connector ring so it's better assembled than many I've seen. My only concern is the size of the clasp, which is the smallest I've seen. I see this as a problem for people with arthritis or anything else that makes fine motor skills difficult. I make jewelry and I usually use a clasp that is at least 3-4 times the size. However, if you order it long enough (20 inches), you can wear it over your head. It was well packaged in a plastic envelope in a padded box. It's not a very attractive presentation for a gift, but it protects the chain from damage in the mail. This is a very pretty necklace and well made (making it strong enough to wear without fear). The only thing that surprises me is the size of the clasp.
