The skewers are light and the stand wobbles. If you flip the entire grill at once (when large chunks of meat have been lined up all at once) the thing seems about to fall apart. Due to the open loops on the skewers, they get tangled up again and again. Although the skewers are flat, the notch on the grill is rounded, so it looks like this (/). The skewers will still rotate, so the heavier part of the skewer will end up on the bottom, basically defeating the purpose of a flat skewer. On the plus side, the product's non-stick surface means it's easy to clean. However, I'll stick with normal bamboo.
