Not compatible with my motherboard!

I have an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E gaming motherboard and I can't detect 3000MHz over 2400MHz. This indicates an incompatibility with this motherboard. I believe I was sold this memory with an ERROR and it is not compatible as it was sold.
