Review on The Engineered Now Headrest for Herman Miller Aeron Chair - H4 for Remastered, Mineral (Headrest Only) by Lauren Miller

Disappointing price, hassle of adjusting

I was very pleased with this headrest. That's the only thing really missing from my chair. The general build quality of the headrest seems to be pretty good. What I quickly realized is that the design isn't the best. First, the overall adjustment flexibility of the headrest is limited. Once you find a good position, you'll likely need to readjust the headrest if you change your position in the chair. It doesn't bother me, but it annoys me a little. The bigger issue is the ability to adjust the headrest vertically. The mechanism used is the presence of notches on the headrest that catch on something in the headrest. Unfortunately, the teeth used are simply not big enough. The headrest easily falls to a lower level simply by turning your head in any direction. If you sit forward and then lean back, he will usually fall over as well. The color matches my chair so well I can't tell and even the mesh used looks close enough. You can tell the difference in mesh material between the chair and headrest by touching both. The plastic also seems a bit more hollow compared to the chair. For the price I was expecting a better adjustment mechanism and slightly higher quality build material.
