Well they are cheap. I knew that would happen. But I guess I still expected the speaker system to be so-so for the money. Satellite speakers are fine. Nothing special. There is no need to talk about the mids, but the highs are clear. But the subwoofer is strange. Since there is no crossover, the subwoofer tries to reproduce every bit of the incoming signal. It doesn't matter much. The big problem for me was the strange volume level on the subwoofer. At 0 you hear nothing. At 0.5 you hear almost more bass than you need. At 5 it has increased a bit. At 10 it basically sounded like 5. I got the setup to give myself sound from a PS3 at the gym. The bass is too boomy for my liking and really overwhelms what the satellites are playing. That and the lack of a middle ground worth mentioning make it gibberish in my book.
