Metrovac blowers are popular tools for drying your car and that's a really big reason I bought them. The hot air performance is great. I also wanted something to blow the grass off my mower deck. a small, quick task that doesn't require turning on the gas blower. The little blower does both great and has blasted my workbench and sometimes even the workshop floor around the bench. Since I use it to blow out dirt and not just dry the car, it's important to pay attention to the filter on the bottom of the case. It's quite powerful and the filter catches whatever blows in the air as it moves as much air as it works. It's relatively quiet for what it does and incredibly powerful for a small, lightweight portable device. I wouldn't overuse it by using it to blow up my driveway, but it might work in a pinch. This creates significant traction in your hand. If you do not attach the nozzle firmly, it can be blown around the room. If I have one criticism, it's that while the blower is excellent, reliable, and well made, all of the material that *supports* the blower itself is a bit second rate. It comes with a shoulder strap, for example, but there's no place to attach the strap to the blower. There was no documentation in the box. (The blower doesn't need a manual, but you would expect to find a warranty card and information on replacement filters.) Some of the decals on the blower were poorly applied. These small defects do not cloud my overall impression of the product.
