This is a great little camera for watching my pup. The night vision is excellent and being able to shoot it from a distance is very nice. I also like hearing what's going on, but I found the speaker scary for my dog. It's very clear and a lot, but it drove him crazy. But it's good to talk to someone. Motion detection is mech. It alerts me when I turn the camera but not when the dog enters the room or when I get home (I have it in my living room). It was a hassle to set up, but that's because 2.4GHz WiFi is required and most ISPs now pair it at 5GHz, so I had to call and fix it before I could set it up.
