I have been using the device for over two months. Works in tandem with Synology DS218 (so I haven't used the internal drive yet). Previously used mi box 3 with the same network drive. Basically I will compare with the previous device. I use the prefix exclusively for watching movies from a network drive + photos from a drive + YouTube, as a result, the use of the functionality is extremely limited. I decided to change the mi box, because I was not satisfied with the speed of work, plus the box could not read all the videos from the network drive (or did not read at all, or there were a lot of artifacts, or lags). changed to Dune, in the hope of solving these problems. But in general, the purchase is extremely dissatisfied. 1. The device is 10 times more than box. how these dimensions are determined is not at all clear; 2. very strange remotes. box has a 4-button remote control, which is extremely convenient for me. in this case, there are a lot of buttons, I’m not used to working with the remote control ( 3. speed exceeds mi, but I expected much more. the speed is acceptable, but much lower than even my mobile. 4. At the beginning, I was extremely happy when the device began to read all the videos that were on the disk. but the other day, those in which the prefix freezes in the middle of the video began to come across. This is what prompted me to write a review. despite the fact that on a computer / phone from a network drive, the video opens calmly and completely. 5. very strange interface. again in mi it is primitive and sensory-obvious. here again for 2 months and I’m not used to it ( 6. The most obvious disadvantage is the price. according to my subjective assessment, the device is 20-30% better than mi, while it costs almost 10 times more. unfortunately, I can not recommend alternatives, as I only worked with these two devices. of the two, I would definitely choose mi (perhaps there was a bonus that I did not use. A week after delivery, they wanted to bring me a second one. But I refused)
