I have had this thermometer for three weeks now and it works really well. The sensors are accurate and the Android app is easy to use (I don't have an iPhone). However, a few things keep it from being GREAT, and one thing in particular made me want to start the return process. In the application you can view the temperature graph for each sensor. This way you can see temperature changes during and after cooking. However, the graph only shows a short period of time and does not have a "zoom out" function. Other wireless thermometer apps can show you a timeline for the entire cook, which would be very helpful. However, this application can export temperature data to CSV, so you can import and view it in Excel. It's a lot of work to get around the inability to just zoom out of the temperature chart. The alarms are easy to set up and both minimum and maximum temperature alarms can be set (so the alarm can be set to track your smoker). temperature and warn you, for example, of a grease fire or an extinguished flame). Once the alert threshold is reached, the Inkbird block itself will start beeping. However, I found that the application lagged behind the audio by 5-60 seconds. In most cases, this doesn't really matter, but it's worth mentioning. The big problem for me is the Android alarms themselves. On my Android 10 Pixel2 phone, the alarm sound is not very loud even at maximum volume. My alarm clock and other app notifications can be a lot louder. I think it might be a problem with my phone model. But, and this is a kicker, the alarm tone only plays for 30 seconds and then stops. So, besides the fact that the sound itself isn't very loud and only plays for 30 seconds, it's easy to fall asleep to the alarm while cooking long and slow overnight. In fact, I recently cooked a pork ham and my flatbread grill went out. The alarm actually went off and supposedly chimed for 30 seconds. But I slept through it and woke up the next morning to stale smoke and a ruined dinner. If the sound could be changed to be a little louder (no way) or the app could be set to play the alarm continuously until canceled (no way), I think this thermometer would be for me. If you don't cook at night or are a light sleeper, this might not be a problem for you. I will say that Inkbird's Android app support was extremely responsive! I emailed my concerns and they responded quickly every time. Unfortunately, as a result, I cannot rely on this app to wake me up at night. and this is a feature that I absolutely must have in a wireless barbecue thermometer.
