DO NOT BUY this filter. Not suitable. The pad is too thin.

I agree with William C. Spaulding's review of October 24, 2012. Filter will not snap into canister head/dust collector. However, William was wrong when he said the lugs were too short and the end seal was too thin. The spacer is half the size it should be so it doesn't "push" the tabs into the locking groove. The gasket acts as a "spring" that locks the filter in the grooves that also seal the filter to the head. I design for a living, but this is just such an outrageous change that affects fit and function. Where I work this would never happen and if it did we would not ship the part until it was repaired or returned to the supplier. Someone from the manufacturers tried to save a dime (or less) on the filter and turned it into a useless piece of junk. You can place a second pad on top of the first to build it up to the desired thickness. I won't tape the grommets because the seal is very important for the vacuum to work. Crucial Vacuum must stop selling, refund money, or replace "defective" filters with "good" filters at no charge. Crucial must then compel the supplier to repair the defective seal or return it to PROC (People's Republic of China), YUP made in China. I have enjoyed shopping at Crucial Vacuum because I have purchased Key Allergen vacuum bags in the past. It left a very bad taste in my mouth as I started to trust this brand again. If I submit a return request, they expect me to pay for the return shipping! I sent them a message asking them to provide a prepaid return label or simply refund the purchase price. I'll update this review on how the Crucial vacuum handles all of this mess. Update October 30th. Crucial Vacuum returns the money. But it was never mentioned if they would fix the filter thickness issue, which can be solved by adding another shim over the existing shim to "grow" the shim to the correct thickness. Raised the stars to 2 because they immediately returned the money.
