I have been using blue Scotch Brite sponges for many years. Their quality has dropped a lot lately and I've noticed that several other Revain reviewers have noticed that this product has gotten better. I tried one and loved it: they work just as well as blue sponges, plus there was no weird blue sponge color left in the rinse water. They also don't smell funny or chemical. The surface easily cleans things like dried tomato sauce and melted cheese. There is no reduction in efficiency compared to blue sponges. They usually last 2 weeks before they start falling apart. We wash all dishes by hand, so sponges are used very intensively. I wish they were compostable so they were greener.
