Review on Breathable Leather Boxing Training Sparring Sports & Fitness by Bryan Cavalcante

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are great general purpose training/sparring/heavy bag gloves FOR PEOPLE WITH SMALL HANDS (12 OZ)

I have these in 12 oz and they have more than enough padding for sparring, they will protect your hands and overall they are great durable and high quality. I first bought the 16oz Fairtex BGV6 gloves and they were too soft, thin and large for comfortable sparring. I knew I needed smaller gloves that would help with endurance while retaining adequate cushioning. Here are the gloves. I love them for their small size, stiffness, good skin and light feel. If you want to get them for sparring, go ahead because you have enough padding for that. If you have big hands then this glove is not for you. These gloves are suitable as training gloves. WARNING. They have a short break-in period. FIRST I put them on and was disappointed to find that they cut off the blood flow to my thumb so I put on the tight parts of the glove and straightened them. skin a little. I then left them in my car and they felt good the next day but after using them a second time they fit me perfectly. Break-in times are good because a glove that feels good right now can stretch on the road. If you are a beginner with small hands I recommend them even more. They're inexpensive, have plenty of padding for heavy pocket work, and add extra wrist protection due to their stiffness, but most importantly, they're not so darn heavy that hitting feels sluggish and unnatural compared to hitting with your bare hands. Trying to build proper technique and throwing punches is difficult when you're punching with heavy gloves. YOU WILL NOT CREATE THE RIGHT FORM IF YOU ARE TIRED AND SLOW. Use lighter, well-padded gloves that are forgiving and get heavier ones once you know how to get the right fit. Then all you have to worry about is staying fit. Nobody talks about it, but you'll hit differently if you use heavier gloves. Heavy gloves are designed for muscular endurance, but lighter gloves allow you to use the right fit while still being in the mid-range between ankleless and 16-ounce gloves.
