Lots of parts, poor quality breadboard and rail

I'm about halfway through the tutorials on this subject and at this point I can safely say I'm not very impressed with this set. . While it looks like you'll get a lot of pieces, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. So far I've been able to work through most of the tutorials, but it's been a little disappointing. First, the learning guide is really bad. I downloaded everything from their website (as they noticed in a previous review that they updated the manual). I found it full of bugs, especially the graphics. The tutorials are pretty much instructions on where to connect things to make them work, but don't go into much more. It's less important, but also fraught with spelling mistakes that seem ridiculous when even the most basic word processors have a built-in spell checker. I wasn't expecting much from the instructions that came with it, but I had trouble with a number of the parts included. . About half of the included LEDs didn't work, but what was most frustrating was the substandard breadboard that is the foundation of many projects. Some of the rows were very difficult to insert pieces while others were so loose that the pieces just wobbled and didn't connect well. These bad connections end up causing a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting. I spent a lot of time poking around the board trying to rewire the project to avoid bad connection spots on the board. for what you pay for and the details are labeled well enough. But if you're just starting out with Arduino, I'd look elsewhere for something better to save you the frustration of troubleshooting what end up being poorly made parts.
