TLDR: Tile adheres well, is very durable and water/weather/cat resistant. Don't worry, it will get stuck on your remote control. π (March 6, 2020) Update: The day has finally come and Tile has met its rival after 10 months of hard-fought outdoor adventures, including but not limited to: daily hikes around the neighborhood, be it rain, sun or snow, rolls across asphalt, mud, ice and grass, weaves his way through a variety of bushes and trees, jumps fences and chases birds like the evil cat that he is, squeezing into all sorts of unimaginable nooks and crannies. For reference, Kitty's walks in the area range from 2 to 7 miles a day depending on the weather, and he might lose it once or twice a month since it's a detachable collar. safety first, you know? Sometimes we also use the tile to drive him back at night; Even with a GPS flashlight on his collar, he can be difficult to spot if he doesn't want to be found. So we use tiles maybe 5-10 times a month. Curiously, he was found taped to a wooden fence in our backyard, with the collar about 5 feet away. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but a support made of worn adhesive was actually stuck to a rough wooden fence. The battery also seems to be holding up well. All in all, I can't express how many times this little thing has saved the day. There were many occasions when we would never have found Kitty's collar, even with a whistle GPS. Not to mention he had to endure lots of collars, dog tags and bells for our favorite little adventurer! Until they add a beep to some of the most popular pet GPS brands, Thile will enjoy my loyalty as a customer so my little fella can do what he loves without me having to worry about his loved ones. ------------------------(September 6, 2020) Update: 5 months of hardcore cat action off-road and it's still stuck. I have to say I'm impressed and it saved me hours of searching for a collar. To be honest, there were a few instances where I wouldn't have found it without a tile (like under decks and trees where the Whistle's GPS signal can't reach). Definitely waterproof, dustproof and pretty darn tough as far as my cat is a crazy and mud loving guy who loves to play in light rain and wet grass. The whole finding my phone aspect doesn't seem to work very well, but that doesn't bother me personally. ----------------------- As of May 10, 2020, I put a sticker on my cat's whistle. GPS tracker I will update if/if it ever falls off or runs out of battery. He loves losing his collar in other people's gardens and it's hard to pinpoint exactly which bush or side of the fence he hid it in, so hopefully the horn will come in handy. He's pretty rough with his collars and their attachments, so I'm curious as to how durable this thing is. Aside from being easy to set up, I'm very happy that it doesn't have a split signal like most Bluetooth trackers. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out that there are several different rings you can install it on. Sequel follows!
