Item arrived broken. I plugged it into a German cable box and then into my Samsung LED Smart TV and it worked fine for about an hour. After that, the signal disappeared and since then it has not worked. I've tried many times to change the settings on the converter but it won't work. I also fiddled with the settings on the TV, it still doesn't work. I assure you it is connected correctly, but it cannot convert PAL signal to NTSC. For $65 this item is a piece of junk. What a waste of money. The manual that comes with the product is so lame, it doesn't explain anything useful in detail, and the troubleshooting instructions are so vague that you have to work this thing blindly to figure out what's wrong with it. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a PAL to NTSC converter. This product is useless. Complete waste of money
