It is difficult to find a suitable USB-C to HDMI 2.0b adapter these days Finding adapters, most common cables promise HDR but turn out as HDMI 2.0 (without a or b needed for HDR). This cable introduces DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C or ThunderBolt as HDMI 2.0b output supporting HDR10 and Dolby Vision. This worked well on my iPad Pro 2018 and Dell Latitude 7480 with Thunderbolt to output 4k HDR videos. to be a Titan Ridge controller or newer, older Alpine Ridge/Kaby Lake controllers or others need to add Thunderbolt or LSPCon chip to convert the signal to DP 1.4).
