Review on Performance Friction Corporation 655 20 Metallic by Joe Drew

Performance Friction is the last word in brake pad performance. As a former auto mechanic and race car mechanic, I have used them for many different purposes for many years. These puppies absolutely do not give up in the heat. A word of caution though for the uninitiated. These pads feel fantastic as long as you don't ruin your rotors with hot spots and cracks. So use your brakes wisely! Be aware that these pads feel amazing and will not go away under any circumstances except when the brake is fully applied. Don't be lulled by the sense of security that these brakes never seem to go away. Have pity on your brake discs. I put the kit on my brother's bike and he completely burned out his rotors in two weeks while riding in the mountains. To quote him, "I was dragging my boat down a hill and they felt great, so I just kept braking." You've been warned! If you ride like a sane person, these pads have slightly higher cold inlet pressure and potentially a bit more dust than regular consumer pads. These pads were my top choice for heavy duty use in my personal RV and I really like the safety factor when braking hot descents. Choose wise! Be friendly!
