Review on 🌡️ Maverick CT-03 Digital Oil & Candy Thermometer: Accurate Temperature Monitoring for Cooking and Baking by Ricky Long

I've been using this for making candy throughout the Christmas season and LOVE it! Some of the things I love are: - that it beeps when I've reached the set temperature - the clip on the handle is surprisingly easy to attach to the pot - the ability to twist or turn the head to see it better - a medal tag that protects it in storage - long probe with adjustable clamp so it can work with many pan sizes. - Preset temperature values alert you when temperature is reached. Some things I would like to change: - Being able to "reprogram" the temperature for my altitude so I don't have to remember the setting. Because I live at high altitude, the boiling point is lower than the thermometer shows. So when I use the preset alarm I have to use the next colder setting so my candy doesn't burn. But that's not too bad because I have a little time to check the candies and get ready to take them out of the pan before they burn. I highly recommend this clinical thermometer. Much easier to read than glass. It attaches to the pallet more securely and with more adjustment.
