Review on MASTERCOOL 52224 Infrared Thermometer Laser by Denise Hansen

Arrived on time, nice light weight item, comes with batteries and separate temperature sensor. One thing: As other reviewers have pointed out, the battery cover is very difficult to remove. The first time, my husband and I had to take it off with the channel lock to catch it. After it was removed we inserted small clips that snap the cover into the case. The clips are located just behind where you can squeeze the battery cover, making it impossible to squeeze the clips far enough to get them out of the way and lower the cover. Once the clip points are machined and the inside edges of the battery cover are coated with silicone grease, it stays in place and is easy to remove. I checked the temperature with my existing digital thermometer instead and it is accurate. It works great - I've used it to detect hot spots in the fridge. We also have a wood fired pizza oven and plan on using it so we know when to start cooking.
