Although these shoes are made of strong and durable materials suitable for moderate to heavy gardening, they are uncomfortable. Or just the right size. The toe box is too tight, they are not very soft and feel more snug than expected. They are also very difficult to put on and take off. These are the kind of shoes that seem to need "breaking in", which I've tried. Unfortunately, this also means that I cannot return them. I bought these as I am very prone to stress fractures and figured these "higher quality" ie more expensive shoes would help. However, since they are uncomfortable, I have to force myself to wear them. Of course, this may mean that I have unusual needs or that my expectations are too high, so that others may be more successful than me.
