Review on CAMVATE Crab Clamp Thread Microphones by Paul Ruberto

I've used similar mic clips from other manufacturers but this is by far the best design, compact and well made. Surprisingly, one of the best features of this mic clip is not highlighted in photos and product descriptions: the threaded portion (where the mic clip or stem attaches) can be moved to a different location on the Camvate clip. In practice, this means that the microphone thread part can be oriented at 90 degrees to each other in either of the two positions. As such, you can set it up with the mic clip screwing onto either the narrow (end) side or the longer (clamping) side of the Camvate - this can be parallel or perpendicular to the ground when in use. This is especially useful when using Camvate to attach a gooseneck or boom to another mic stand. I plan to buy a few more of these.
