This set is definitely worth its price. These are strong, good quality pieces of crystal, they are pleasing to the eye and they refract and bend light very well. But for the classic separation of pure light into rainbows, rainbows are difficult to reproduce and come out pretty faint and fuzzy. If you're looking for a light splitting science experiment that has kids spraying water mist into the air while their backs are to the sun, or buying a heavily cut crystal/rainbow trap. All the photos showing nice clean highlights are either photoshopped or taken in a super controlled environment with highly focused light rays (but even then I doubt this was done with these). So if you want to see different angles or take photos, this set offers plenty of variety and looks great on the shelf even when not in use.
