I bought this unit after our old one (not Sandoo) broke. Although it's still too early to test, I can already say that it's better than the old block. It's quieter, faster, smaller and easier to use. And honestly, it cost less than half what we paid for our old block! The day after he arrived, we bought 72 skinless chicken breasts and 24 pork chops from a local butcher. (Yes, we have a large family.) In less than 45 minutes, my wife and I sealed about 60 pre-packaged bags for our freezer! Where I'm from it's considered pretty fast. And I should add that there were no hiccups, weak vacuum, or wrong fills. This morning I soldered 14 collectible hand tools that are prone to rusting and tarnishing. Again quick, easy and smooth. And my wife can't wait to vacuum cans with it. It turns out to be a pretty small workhorse. This vacuum sealer is great and works as advertised. And I look forward to using it again.
